Excelsior Sparks
We aim to provide a fun, safe and informative environment in which to learn to play a brass instrument. The emphasis is very much on enjoying the experience of playing as part of a band.
What, where, and when
We usually start a new beginners group every September. We take anyone from the age of 7 upwards, both children and adults. No musical knowledge is necessary.
Instruments are provided on loan free of charge.

More Information
We currently have two training bands. One is for beginners and the other is for more experienced players.
The main training band is conducted by Megan Reid.
Our beginners group is led by Andrea Reid.
We are also lucky to have a number of helpers who play in the main band including Sam Mills who conducts Gloucester Excelsior Band.
This allows us the flexibility of giving individual tuition where necessary.
